The Canadeon is a unique instrument and audio player capable of performing music with the sound of a music box. This device eliminates the need to exchange cylinders or disks, allowing seamless playback of songs of any length.

Originally designed as a device exclusively for playing MIDI files, it was later redesigned and reconfigured to meet the specific requirements of musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, evolving into an innovative system that enables real-time operation via keyboard input.

Canadeonは、オルゴールの音色で楽曲を演奏するユニークな楽器兼オーディオプレーヤーです。この装置は、シリンダーやディスクを交換する必要がなく、任意の長さの楽曲を途切れることなく演奏することが可能です。

当初はMIDIファイルの再生専用デバイスとして設計されていましたが、その後、音楽家・坂本龍一氏の要望に応じて再設計および再構成され、キーボード入力によるリアルタイム操作が可能な画期的なシステムへと進化しました。
